Conor McGregor Goes After Those Who Do Not Understand The Life Of A Champ In Recent Tweet

Conor McGregor has offered some brief insight into the life of a champion following the release of some pretty disturbing footage of Joanna Jedrzejczyk as she cut weight back in 2015.

Following the release of some disturbing footage showing the former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejcyzk in the midst of a harrowing weight-cut back in 2015, the MMA world were collectively stunned at how visibly distressed the long-time belt-holder was, something that only added fuel to the fires in the debate over the safety of modern weight-cutting in the sport.

Joanna, who was fighting Jessica Penne in a defense of her 115lb title, looked to be in more pain at that moment than she had been from any punch, kick or elbow she had sustained inside the octagon and though she would, of course, go on to defeat Penne and retain her belt, to go through such an ordeal is simply not ok.

One man who saw the viral video as an opportunity to chime in and muse on the life of a champion was the former-featherweight and current lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who spoke about the demands made by all those around you when the belt resides around your waist.

Conor hasn’t fought in MMA in just over a year now since defeating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 and with the pressure building on all sides, seemingly  is letting us know that he remains unphased by the calls for him to defend his belt and is content to sit back and await the right time before making his next move.
