Conor McGregor Hints At A Return To Competition Next Year

Conor McGregor hasn’t been too vocal about his plans for the future since losing out to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 last month.

It’s understandable, though.

He might have lost out in brutal fashion to the unbeaten Dagestani champion but in doing so, he managed to net an unprecedented sum of money for a mixed martial arts contest and is currently in the middle of a promotional tour for his newly-launched brand of Irish whiskey.

And while there has been talk about a potential showdown between McGregor and Donald Cerrone, for the most part, we know absolutely nothing about the Irishman’s plans for future.

However, Conor took to his official Twitter to hint at a return to the ‘OctaRing’ in 2019, among other things.

It’s hard to know how early or late into 2019 we can expect to see the former-champ back in action but with the current status of the lightweight champion Nurmagomedov still up in the air, we’ll likely see Conor fight a contender before attempting to bag another matchup against ‘The Eagle’.
