Conor McGregor took some time to compete in an exhibition boxing bout in Crumlin last night as his future in mixed martial arts remains unclear.
It was nothing too competitive by any means but those present in the Crumlin Boxing Club were treated to a showcase of the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion’s talents as he turned in a few rounds in the ring.
As a 0-1 professional boxer, Conor was last seen in there with the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, losing by way of tenth-round TKO while in mixed martial arts, his most recent outing came in the form of the fourth-round submission defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
Right now, it’s unclear exactly how long it will take until we see McGregor back in action inside the octagon but for what it’s worth, it was interesting to see him return to combat in some capacity.
Watch the Irishman engage in a well-intentioned back-and-forth below:
🇮🇪👏 Conor McGregor returned to Crumlin Boxing Club tonight and took part in his first boxing match since the Floyd Mayweather fight – doing a few good-spirited rounds with one of the amateurs.
