Everyone’s least favourite MMA heel has fired another threat at the champ Tyron Woodley and love him or hate him, you have to admit that it’s a pretty good one.
Respect is something that is earned and displayed 90% of the time in combat sports. Something about seeing another man or woman who has sacrificed so much to be in the same position as you yourself summons up a respect that transcends all pre-fight trash-talk and animosity.
Colby Covington is a prime example of someone who neglects to include respectfulness in his arsenal.
But say what you want about the welterweight contender, he has managed to establish himself as one of the UFC’s breakout stars of 2017 through his persistence, fearlessness in the face of near-unanimous attacks and most importantly, his showings inside the octagon.
In his last outing, he nearly incited a riot in Demian Maia’s home-country of Brazil by insulting virtually everyone in attendance following his victory and in recent times, has been involved in an altercation with Fabricio Werdum, a man who outweighs him by close to fifty pounds.
Now, following the massive target that has been placed on his back, he took to his official Twitter to call out the 170lb champ Tyron Woodley, but not before pointing out how some of his fellow fighters have responded to his tireless efforts to get in their heads.
You can block it on twitter but the chaos sensation is sweeping the world!!! It can't be stopped!!! pic.twitter.com/ks0T2c3AWn

Tyrone @TWooodley will have a real Injury after we fight. I’m gonna rip both his arms off and mount them on my wall next to the belt. Just out of reach, because mark my words! He's never touching @ufc gold again. @danawhite @seanshelby https://t.co/eia8GBxdEa

Tyron Woodley is yet to respond but since he blocked Covington on Twitter, perhaps don’t expect return-fire too soon.
