Anderson Silva’s Son Wins Via TKO In Muay-Thai Debut

The son of legendary Brazilian mixed martial artist Anderson Silva, Gabriel, was victorious in his first outing within the sport of muay-thai by TKO.

Anderson’s future in the sport is quite uncertain at this point after a nasty injury to his leg saw him bow out of his UFC 236 showdown with Jared Cannonier in the fight’s opening exchanges.

As one of the most dominant champions in the history of the UFC, Silva’s run atop the middleweight division was among the most electric times for the sport – an era that truly saw the promotion make some serious breakthroughs into the mainstream eye.

And while Anderson’s era has now passed, it appears as though the next generation of his name is ready to make his own stamp on the world of combat sports.

Gabriel Silva is the 20-year-old son of the former UFC champion who made his muay-thai debut at an event in California over the weekend.

Anderson posted footage from the fight to his official Instagram account along with a message in Portuguese to his victorious son.
