Alistair Overeem already has his eyes on another heavyweight opponent after dismantling Sergei Pavlovich at UFC Beijing over the weekend.
Overeem had a fairly easy night out in China when he managed to ground-and-pound the formerly-unbeaten behemoth Sergei Pavlovich in the show’s co-main event.
The Dutch kickboxer managed to rebound from two brutal defeats in a row – to both Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes – and by the looks of things, he seems to be eager to get back in there as soon as possible.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Overeem called out UFC 230 headliner Derrick Lewis – who lost out to champion Daniel Cormier earlier this month by way of second-round submission.
I'm hearing you guys want to see a technician versus a brawler. What do you say Hot Balls?

It’s a fight that makes sense, to be honest.
For Overeem, a win over a fighter of Lewis’ rank would certainly insert his name right back into that title-discussion.
It does seem as though ‘The Black Beast’ is hoping to take some time off, however, after fighting twice in the space of a month – beating Alexander Volkov and losing out to the aforementioned Cormier.
With the likes of Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou joining Overeem in the division’s upper echelons, who knows which way the UFC will play it.
If Lewis is, in fact, hoping for some time off, I doubt anyone would complain if they set him up for the rematch with the former champion Miocic.
