Ali Abdelaziz, manager to Khabib Nurmagomedov, stressed his belief that his fighter can drop Floyd Mayweather if they ever met inside the boxing ring.
Mayweather made the headlines earlier this week when he confirmed his interest in a showdown with the Russian over twelve rounds.
Speaking to TMZ, Floyd made it clear that he is down to make a return to action if Nurmagomedov can get permission to fight him while making sure to remind us that he is his own boss.
It still seems unlikely to ever happen but in an interview with ESPN‘s Brett Okamoto, his manager Ali Abdelaziz stressed his belief that Khabib’s size and power would make it interesting.
“I know it’s a different sport, but Khabib knocked Conor down and Floyd couldn’t.
“And all it’s going to take is one punch, and I think Khabib can drop Floyd.”
“I don’t know if he can finish him… I know he can drop him if he landed because he’s too small.”
