Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone Gives Another Reason Why He Is The Craziest Fighter In The UFC

Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone is well regarded as one of the toughest fighters in the UFC. Win or lose, he just loves the combat sport.

While some competitors in the promotion may be accused of shying away from fights, Cerrone is not one.

Last month, the 32 year-old overcame Alex Oliveira, less than two months after his loss to Rafael Dos Anjos. When the Brazilian pulled out of his UFC 196 showdown with Conor McGregor, Cerrone told the promotion that he wanted to take on the Irishman, just 13 days after he submitted Oliveira. The match-makers eventually went for Nate Diaz instead, and the rest is history, but Cerrone was fully committed to taking on the featherweight champion.

This would not have been unprecedented for the New Mexico native. In January 2015, he fought twice within a fortnight, scoring decision victories on both occasions.

He has an appetite for fights, and competes more than almost every other athlete in the UFC.

His next fight looks set to be against Patrick Cote in June, but he is keen to get into the octagon before then, while also fulfilling his June assignment.

You have to respect the man.
