Three More Sign On At Finn Harps For 2015

Finn Harps continued their squad building process for the 2015 season with the addition of three more players to the first team squad, taking the total number of confirmed signings in Finn Park to sixteen players five weeks ahead of the first league fixture away to Shelbourne in Tolka Park on Friday 6th March.

The three players added will be familiar to fans of the Ballybofey side, with all three having pulled on the Harps jersey in the past.

Marc Brolly, a pacey left winger/striker comes in having last played for Dungannon Swifts in the Irish League before a year out of the senior game. Brolly had agreed to join Harps in July last year but the deal fell through when the player could not commit due to work arrangements.

Ahead of the 2015 campaign, he joined Harps in the past week for pre-season training and put pen to paper on a one-year deal on Thursday.

Central midfielder Raymond Foy joins from Derry City, having last togged out on loan for Ballinamallard United in the Irish League Premier Division. Foy agreed a mutual termination of his loan deal and subsequent contract at rivals Derry in favour of a potential promotion push across the border. The Castlefin native first joined Harps in 2010 as part of the Harps youth system and quickly found himself promoted to the first team squad in late 2010 season, and in early 2011 he enjoyed an extended period amongst the first team squad before joining Derry in the summer of 2011.

Garbhan Friel, a striker signed from Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic joins a week after Cockhill were knocked out of the FAI Intermediate Cup by Dublin side St Mochtas. He will also be entering his second spell as a Harps player, after a prolific year in front of goal for Cockhill in the Ulster Senior League in 2014. His previous time at Harps was an unhappy one for the Inishowen man, when in 2011 he made 7 appearances in the first half of the season before being released in the summer.

Harps are expected to announce further signings in the coming week with a number of players still on trial at the club, while the search for a top striker at the club continues to evade the management team in Finn Park.
