Shelbourne have today announced the re-signing of midfielder Gareth Coughlan for 2015.
Coughlan has plenty of League of Ireland experience, having played with Bray Wanderers, St. Pat’s and Dundalk in his time.
The 25-year-old’s LOI career has been punctuated by stints in the Leinster Senior League with Sacred Heart, while at St. Pat’s and Dundalk.
Having joined Shels ahead of last season from the LSL club it now looks as though Dublin-born Coughlan is ready to grab the opportunity of a long-term stint in the League of Ireland with the Tolka Park side.
Coughlan will want to continue his impressive goalscoring record of seven league goals in 21 league appearances from 2014.
However, his goals weren’t enough for Shels to gain promotion, coming up short in the race for the First Division title but new boss Kevin Doherty will be hopeful Coughlan can make the desired difference next term.
