The FAI Cup quarter final draw was made early this morning, and the tie of the round sees Cork City travel to Shamrock Rovers.
John Caulfield’s side took Longford Town apart 4-1 last weekend as they look to go one better than last year’s final defeat to Dundalk.
Rovers, meanwhile, still without a permanent manager since the sacking of Pat Fenlon in July, beat Athlone Town 5-0 away from home last week as they remain in the hunt for silverware.
Elsewhere, St. Patricks’s Athletic will be at home to Cobh Ramblers, while Wexford Youths host Derry City.
The only third round tie remaining to be played is the game between non-league Crumlin United and current holders Dundalk, fresh from their Champions League heartbrek in Warsaw on Tuesday night. That tie has been scheduled to take place next Tuesday, and the winner will be up against UCD in the next round.
