EA Sports Cup Preview: Drogheda United vs Shelbourne

Drogheda boss Johnny McDonnell will be hoping his side can build on their opening league victory against Bray with a cup win over his old club Shelbourne.

Drogheda kicked-off their league campaign with a 1-0 victory away to Bray Wanderers on Saturday with new signing Daryl Kavanagh scoring the winner on his debut for the club.

Drogheda will still be without Mark Hughes, who remains injured but Alan Byrne and Shane Dunne, who were suspended for the trip to Bray, are both available to Johnny McDonnell.

Shelbourne opened their league campaign with a scoreless draw at home to Finn Harps in what turned out to be a costly game for the Dublin side.
Dylan McGlade is still unavailable to Kevin Doherty while Paul Andrews and Simon Dixon both join McGlade on the sidelines following injures picked up against the Donegal outfit on Friday night.

Andrews has a broken nose while Dixon is suffering from concussion. In addition to this, Ryan Robinson, Adam O’Connor and Craig Walshe have all reported unwell over the weekend and are all doubtful for Shels’ trip to Boyneside on Tuesday night.
