Paddy Barrett has been announced as the latest addition to Stephen Kenny’s Dundalk side ahead of next season.
Barrett joins from Galway, having moved there from Waterford United halfway through last season. The 21-year-old defender helped Tommy Dunne’s side to promotion into the Premier Division and will be another young player for Stephen Kenny to call upon.
@DundalkFC can confirm that defender Paddy Barrett has signed for the club.

The Lilywhites boss has shown his reliance on youth at the back with the likes of PFAI Young Player of the Year nominee Sean Gannon in the past, so this will surely give Barrett hope of securing plenty of game time.
Having already signed goalkeeper Gary Rogers from Sligo, it is apparent the one area of weakness, if any, that Kenny sees in this Dundalk side is at the back.
However, with Pat Hoban leaving there may yet be more investment in the Lilywhites’ frontline before the season begins again in March.
