Drogheda United have added two more players to their 2015 squad, with the addition of Stephen Maher and Jason Marks.

Maher, who can play in midfield or at right-back, is returning┬áto United Park for a second season. He was signed by then Drogheda United manager Robbie Horgan in March of last year after St. Pat’s manager Liam Buckley decided against re-signing him for the 2014 season.

Marks is back at United Park for his second spell at the club, having signed for the Boynesiders in 2013 following the withdrawal of Monaghan United from the league. He then followed Mick Cooke to Athlone in 2014 but left the club in July, after making 15 appearances for the Town.

Drogheda played their second pre-season friendly against an AUL/Oscar Traynor selection last night, winning 4-0. The goals came from Lee Duffy, Tiarnan Mulvenna, Carl Walshe and new signing, Stephen Maher.

The next two confirmed games for Drogheda are the annual Jim Malone Cup against Dundalk in Oriel Park, next Friday, the 20th of February at 7:45pm and the re-scheduled Leinster Senior Cup match, away to Longford Town, three days later, on the 23rd of February, in the City Calling Stadium, also with a 7:45pm kick-off.
