Derry City are currently in pursuit of Dungannon Swifts winger Jamie Glackin and have had a bid for the 19-year-old rejected.
The Londonderry Sentinel report that Swifts’ manager Darren Murphy has admitted Dungannon are expecting an improved bid, however.
“We haven’t asked for a big amount, I think what we have asked for isn’t unrealistic in terms of Irish League football, I have only asked for what I think he’s worth.
“I have only asked for what we have put in over the last two and half years and I think he’s worth that.”
With the loss of Michael Duffy recently to Celtic, Candystripes boss Peter Hutton will be looking to the likes of Glackin in an effort to fill the big boots Duffy has left behind.
