Another Star Made On Foyleside Set For Big Move

With only six weeks to the start of the new season, Derry City look set to lose a key player with midfielder Michael Duffy likely to join Championship side Brentford.

Duffy has attracted a lot of interest in the off-season, travelling to Celtic on two occasions but nothing has materialised from this and just last week, both Duffy and teammate Patrick McEleney travelled over to Brentford for a friendly game.

Despite that game being called-off, it seems like Duffy has done enough in training to convince the coaches that he has the quality to play for the club.

Talks are set to commence over the next few days and the City board will be hoping they will be able to get a good deal for their star player.

Duffy managed to score a magnificent 16 goals from left midfield last season and if the move does happen he will be a huge loss to Peter Hutton and his Derry City squad.
