“Thank You” – Seán Cox Speaks To Public For First Time Since Attack

Liverpool supporter Seán Cox has spoken to the public for the first time since he was attacked last year.

In the video, Cox says “thank you” and gives a thumbs-up to his well-wishers and supporters.

His family released the short video ahead of Friday night’s charity match between a Republic of Ireland legends side and a Liverpool legends side at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.

Several legends of the game are set to take part on Friday with Robbie Keane leading out an Irish team that includes Ray Houghton, Niall Quinn and Kevin Kilbane while Ian Rush, Djibril Cisse and Robbie Fowler are among those lining out for Liverpool.

All going well, it is expected that Cox will be in attendance at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow night which will be the first time he will be outside of a medical setting in almost a year.
