Bittersweet news for fans of Derry City this morning, with the Londonderry Sentinel reporting that Michael Duffy and Patrick McEleney have travelled to Brentford for a trial.
Duffy was recently on trial with Celtic, scoring two gals in a friendly with Newcastle United. However, he now finds himself travelling to Championship outfit Brentford ahead of a potential friendly outing against Wolves on Tuesday.
McEleney has already spent a a few days training with the Championship playoff contenders.
In other news, Candystripes boss Peter Hutton has confirmed that Ryan McBride is the new club captain.
