Irish goalkeeper Mark Travers could reportedly be on the move this summer with newly promoted Norwich City and Championship side Leeds United both interested in a loan deal for the 20-year old.
According to a report in the Irish Sun, Travers may look to go out on loan depending on his place in the goalkeeping pecking order at Bournemouth despite the Maynooth native starting their last two Premier League games of the season.
Travers is expected to be rewarded with a newer, improved contract for his promotion to the first team but the report outlines that the club haven’t yet finalised new terms with the keeper.
Bournemouth have re-signed veteran goalkeeper Artur Boruc and still have Asmir Begovic but it is not yet known who will be their number one at the start of the season.
This has reportedly piqued the interest of Premier League newcomers Norwich City who will be looking for competition for their current number one Tim Krul as they aim to stay in the top flight.
Leeds United are also interested in 20-year old as they look to finally put an end to their goalscoring issues which hampered their run in this year’s Championship playoffs.
Spaniard Kiko Casilla has struggled since his arrival from Rea Madrid and Northern Irish keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been unable to hold down the number one spot at Elland Road having had a number of questionable performances throughout the season.
Travers is reportedly interested in getting as much first team experience as possible in a bid to continue his progression in Mick McCarthy’s Irish side.
