Carlow striker Padraig Amond scored a wonderful goal as League Two Newport County defeated Middlesbrough in their FA Cup replay on Tuesday night.
Amond scored a beautiful goal from a low corner kick, whipping the ball into the top corner past the Middlesbrough goalkeeper to send Newport into dreamland.
The goal put his side 2-0 up after Robbie Wilmots had opened the scoring just after half-time to stun the Championship high-fliers at Rodney Parade.

The victory for Newport County surely made all the sweeter by the fact that they face a huge game with Premier League champions Manchester City in the next round thanks to their incredible win.
The home side had fellow Irish man Mark O’Brien at the back, and were great value for their victory helped in no small part by the tireless effort put in by Amond up top, who unquestionably deserved his 18th goal of the season when it eventually came.
Amond had previously scored the winning penalty for Newport in their game against Leicester as his streak of giant-killing this campaign continues.
It will be incredibly interesting to see of the former Shamrock Rovers striker can keep up his good form when Newport face Manchester City in the next round.
