Leona Maguire has put herself in prime position to secure a full LPGA tour card for next season after claiming victory at the Symetra Classic.
Fans of the 24-year-old were for sure uncertain but no doubt still confident about Maguire’s chances heading into the final round in North Carolina as she stood as one of four golfers tied for the lead.
A stellar showing in that round was enough for her to establish a strong lead that eventually saw her emerge victorious – claiming a win that stands as her second of the Symetra Tour to date.
With this victory, she now catapults to the top of the Volvik Race For The Card rankings with earnings of $73,790.
Taking to her official Twitter page, the Cavan native expressed her gratitude to both the event itself and her fans after what was a fantastic victory for her and her team.
Win No.2!!🏆🇮🇪🏆Loved every second of playing in N.C again 💙😈 Thank you @symetra_life for a great event and @riverruncc for being such a fantastic venue. Thank you for all the lovely messages and support 💚 #2down1togo #CantSeeCantBe pic.twitter.com/eOxy5qKyJn
