Masters favourite Rory McIlroy has been paired with American Rickie Fowler and Australian Cameron Smith ahead of Thursday’s opening round at Augusta.
The 29-year old, who is seeking to secure the green jacket and the career Grand Slam which will come with it, begins his round at 11:15 am local time or 4:15 pm GMT.
McIlroy and Fowler together from the off will be a mouthwatering start to the year’s first major as the American looks to finally clinch one of golf’s four biggest tournaments.
Offaly native Shane Lowry will begin his Masters tournament early as he tees off at 8:52 am local time or 1:52 pm in Ireland. Lowry has been paired with Canadian Mike Weir and American Kevin O’Connell.
14-time major winner Tiger Woods gets his tournament underway at 11:04 am or 4:04 pm GMT as he sits in the group just before McIlroy alongside Spain’s Jon Rahm and China’s Haotong Li.
Defending champion Patrick Reed gets his title defence underway at 3.31pm GMT with Webb Simpson and Norwegian amateur Viktor Hovland.
The last three groups of the day have star power aplenty with Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Jason Day one to keep a close eye on as well as Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose and Justin Thomas.
The final group go out at 2:00 pm local time and 7:00 pm Irish time and features Jordan Speith, Brooks Koepka and Paul Casey.
