Graeme McDowell has recorded his first PGA Tour victory since 2015 winning the Corales Championship in the Dominican Republic.
McDowell finished on eighteen under par to see off the challenge of Canadian MacKenzie Hughes and American Chris Stroud, both of whom finished a shot back on seventeen under par.
The Northern Irish golfer, who was searching for his first win on tour in three and a half years shot two stunning rounds of eight under par 64 on the second and third days at the Corales Puntacana Resort and & Club to help him to victory.
McDowell found himself one over par following his first round but regained form on the Friday and the Saturday before a solid round of 69 saw him over the line.
The 2010 US Open Champion will be extremely pleased with the victory, his first since the Mayakoba Classic in 2015, as it means he will now regain his full PGA Tour exempt status.
The victory will also see a massive jump for McDowell in the FedEx Cup rankings as he moves up to 38th having previously sat 119th in the standings.

McDowell‘s putting was key to his two incredible rounds on Friday and Saturday and on the final day he continued that run of form from the start with four birdies in his opening seven holes.
A bogey on the ninth and seven successive pars had the 39-year old sweating for a period of time as Stroud and Hughes breathed down his neck but McDowell was able to hold on for the crucial victory as he looks to regain his form of old.
Elsewhere for the Irish Paul Dunne shot a closing round 71 for a twelve under par finish, which left him in tied-12th, while Séamus Power’s final day 70 moved him up nine spots from his starting position to finish in tied-44th.
