Although most spectators outside of Ireland are still only getting used to regularly seeing GAA on Sky Sports, you’d assume most of the presenters of Sky Sports News would already know offhand that Dublin play in the All-Ireland Championship.
Unfortunately, presenter Mike Wedderburn made a regrettable mistake on Thursday morning, calling the Dubs the “All-England football champions” live on TV.
Former Dublin inter-county footballer Johnny Magee (via Newstalk), as we’re sure many others, noticed Wedderburn’s slip of the tongue and quickly posted the below video on Twitter.
Although Dublin would likely win this “All-England Football Championship” hands down, it unfortunately is not the championship they won against Kerry last month.
