Watch: Scenes In Parnell Park As All-Ireland Champions Cuala Win Third Dublin SHC In A Row

Cuala have retained the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship yet again after defeating Kilamcud Crokes in Parnell Park on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-13.

This really is a special group of Cuala hurlers as they have now won their third Dublin county title in a row in a year where last season was morphed into this season for them. Fresh off the back of their All-Ireland success in Croke Park back in March, their 2017 campaign was underway.

Today’s result was hard fought against a gallant Crokes side who never gave in. The O’Callaghan’s, Cian and Con, led the Cuala charge from both ends of the field with top Dublin marksmen David Tracey and Mark Schutte chipping in up front also.

In truth, the decisive score of the game was Darragh O’Connell’s first half goal. The Kerry native was brave as he rode a foul where he was brought to ground. He got up and played to the referee’s advantage and finished neatly for what proved to be the most crucial moment of the game.

Although this Cuala outfit must be well used to that winning feeling come the final whistle, they clearly never tire of it.

Check out Mattie Kenny and co’s delight at being crowned kings of Dublin hurling yet again:
