Due to Sky Sports having the rights to Saturday’s qualifier between Limerick and Kilkenny, some may have missed out on the game.
It’s well documented that many Irish hurling supporters were angered by Sky Sports’ acquisition of rights to show GAA matches and as a result, many will have missed out on the Kilkenny-Limerick game.
Those who didn’t get to see the match will have missed a highly entertaining clash. Both sides gave it their all for 70 minutes and Limerick could easily have won.
Saturday was Kilkenny’s day, however, as Michael Fennelly, making an epic comeback, inspired the Cats to victory.
Limerick will rue a horrendous amount of first half wides as they reflect on this match. Were the Shannonsiders more accurate they may well still be in the championship.
The GAA, to their credit, have provided highlights on YouTube for those who missed out on the game.
