Video: Magician Keith Barry Tricks Kilkenny Players Into Saying ‘Up The Déise’

Waterford-native Keith Barry met up with Kilkenny players Joey Holden and Colin Fennelly this week and played just the one or two tricks on the Cats stars.

With the two All-Ireland champions admitting they’ve played a game or two of poker, Barry sets out to give them every chance of winning but, as expected, the magician comes out on top. While Barry fronts up money in the name of the game, the players are subjected to some embarrassing and border-line painful forfeits in place of cash.

The first of these forfeits comes in the form of some embarrassing questions before Barry gets the pair to devour a jalapeño pepper each.

It is the last round of poker in which most Kilkenny (and Waterford) fans will be concerned with, however.

In a hilarious sequence of events, the Kilkenny stars are given the worst penalty for their loss yet, as they have to say ‘up the Déise’ to the camera.

Let’s just hope Brian Cody wasn’t watching!
