The Cork hurlers were unceremoniously cast from this year’s All-Ireland Championship yesterday at Semple Stadium, following the same path as the Cork footballers the day before.
After the game, it was clear to see that Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy was far from pleased with the day’s action, with Galway beating the Rebels convincingly on a scoreline of 2-28 – 0-22.
Speaking with Joanne Cantwell of RTÉ after the game in Thurles, JBM gave an abrupt answer on his future at the helm.
“Aw yeah, I can’t wait for next year.”
Despite his words, some are far from convinced the 60-year-old will be staying on for another campaign.
