Video: GAA Players Take Their Game From Cork To California

Just three days into their J1 to San Diego, a group of Cork lads had researched what was obviously the most important factor when travelling half way across the world – where’s the local GAA club?

Fortunately for these hurlers there was a GAA Sevens tournament taking place where they were based in San Diego.

The video, put together by Jerome Quinn, explains that this is the third year the West Coast Sevens tournament has taken place there, with teams from across America taking part in the competition.

The piece also goes on to speak with those involved in the tournament as a whole, including Mick Ward, who is the manager of the San Diego Na Fianna club.

It’s clear that GAA in 2015 is alive and well, even on America’s West Coast.
