Harry Redknapp and Gianluca Vialli are to step back into management this summer – but it will be a world away from the Premier League.
The former Premier League bosses will embark on the challenge of taking over GAA club’s in the latest edition of AIB’s ‘The Toughest’ series. Last year, Sky Sports duo Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling were given the considerable task of commentating on the All-Ireland football final.
This time around, ex-Chelsea manager Vialli has been entrusted with Erin’s Isle in Finglas, while former Tottenham and West Ham gaffer Redknapp will take charge of Castlehaven in West Cork.

Vialli expressed his excitement at getting involved in the project, hoping to learn more about the sport during his time in Ireland:
“I am very excited to embark on this journey with AIB. I have learned a lot during my 30 years involved in professional football as a player and manager, but I am delighted to get the opportunity to come to Ireland and learn more about GAA. I am interested in seeing what it is that makes this sport so special.”
Redknapp, meanwhile, has already begun his preparation for the clash by watching the London GAA side in action:
“I am thrilled to dive into the world of GAA. I took a trip out to London GAA training last week before arriving in Castlehaven to see what it is all about.”
