Tyrone Have Launched Their New Jersey Ahead Of The 2018 Season

Tyrone have launched their new jersey ahead of the 2018 season.

2017 provided a mixed bag of fortunes for Tyrone on the field. They successfully defended their Ulster championship title and comfortably overcame Armagh at the All-Ireland quarter-final stage. It appeared as though the Red Hand outfit were primed and more equipped than anyone else in the country to test the high-flying All-Ireland champions and favourites to retain the Sam Maguire Cup, Dublin.

However, when the two teams met at the All-Ireland semi-final stage, it looked like a mismatch. The Dubs powered through Tyrone on their path to September glory in Croker again, dispatching of Mickey Harte’s side on a scoreline of 2-17 to 0-11.

That result undoubtedly lays bare the truth for Harte and his players ahead of 2018. They still have some catching up to do to be considered contenders at the business end of the championship.

Well, in their pursuit of the level current kingpins Dublin are at next year they will be wearing quite a slick number, having launched their new kit for 2018 last night. In changing kit they have also altered the main sponsor displayed on the front of the jersey. Tyrone Fabrication has replaced McAleer & Rushe.

Legendary boss Harte, who has agreed to stay on for a further term, was present at the new kit launch:

The return to red shorts has pleased Tyrone fans, having previously changed to an un-traditional all-white kit. The newly launched outfit should make for a sweet stocking filler this Christmas for any young aspiring Red Hand stars.

All in all, it must be said that the newest edition of the Ulster champions’ kit is pretty easy on the eye.
