Tipperary have secured a place in the Munster Final against Waterford after they saw off Limerick in Semple Stadium this afternoon, on a scoreline of 3-12 to 1-16. The Premier were reduced to 14 men early in the game, after John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer was dismissed for striking an opponent.
A powerful image that sums up the task ahead of Tipp now. It was a stupid red card. pic.twitter.com/U51obx23Gw

However, the Premier dug deep to grind out a result, and reaffirmed their status as real Liam McCarthy contenders, despite a late Limerick rally.
Decent match, this. Tipperary are quality. Another ref with yellow boots, though. What is going on?

Tipperary have far too much quality even with just 14 men #munstergaa16

Entire Tipp team could get sent off and we still wouldn’t win #tippvlimerick

Tipp playing great stuff. Limerick missing a bit of class in half forwards and finisher in full forwards. Tipp have it all.

5 points down. 22 mnutes left, against 14 men!!!!! Limerick need to win from here. Simple. No excuse.

Three points in the second half so far against 14 men. Shocking stuff. Where has Limerick team that took Kilkenny to brink 2 yrs ago gone?
