Twitter Reacts To The 2017 GAA Championship Draw

The draw for the 2017 GAA inter-county Championships took place live on RTÉ last night, to much fanfare.

The draw gave us some sizzling prospects to look forward to in the early rounds of the Championship in both codes.

As the draw unfolded, GAA fans took to Twitter to express their feelings about each draw.



The Dubs will begin their title defence against the winners of Wexford and Carlow.

Some were weary of Jonny Cooper’s assessment of the game.

Some felt Dublin were getting it too easy.

Up north, Derry fans were venting their frustration as they have to square up to Tyrone yet again.

Others it seems were just frustrated that the provincial championships are still punishing their team.

On the hurling side of things, there was some despondency about how Leinster would ultimately play out.

Galway fans being more guilty than most!

There was excitement about the quarter-final match-up of Galway and Dublin.

But there was little doubt that people were excited about the potential of Brian vs Davy.

In Munster, Tipperary will start against Cork in the quarter-final, but Rebels fans were more interested in what Joe Brolly had to say.

Cork parody accounts were more upbeat.

Overall fans were left wondering why the process was so dragged out.
