Waterford’s senior hurlers were the latest team to take part in the crossbar challenge
Led by Dan Shanahan, Waterford attempted to overcome Clare’s score of 12, after being nominated to take part in the challenge by Davy Fitzgerald last week.
The rules are simple, each time to crossbar is struck, €50 is donated to a chosen charity. This week Waterford pledged to donate the proceeds of the challenge to Pieta House.
Despite it only being the second week of the challenge, the Deise brought it to a new level, pitting sets of brothers against each other and incorporating a three in a row challenge.
The best is kept until last however, as Pa Walsh discovers his inner Messi and strikes an amazing trick shot.
Up next week is Wexford.
