Tipperary Name Team To Take On Kilkenny In All-Ireland Final

Tipperary John O'Dwyer celebrates his goal 14/8/2016

Tipperary manager Michael Ryan has announced the team to play Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final on Sunday afternoon.

There is one change from the side that beat Galway in the semi-final, as John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer comes back into the fold as Niall O’Meara makes way.

Bubbles was sent off in the Munster semi-final against Limerick, and while he was serving his suspension in the final, the Premier forwards got on just fine. Therefore, he did not succeed in forcing his way back into the starting line-up for the semi-final against Galway.

However, his impact from the bench won the game for Tipp, and Ryan had no other option but to include him for the final.

Tipperary team to face Kilkenny:

D Glesson; C Barrett, J Barry, M Cahill; S Kennedy, R Maher, P Maher; B Maher, M Breen; D McCormack, P Maher, N McGrath; J O’Dwyer, S Callanan, J McGrath.
