Tipperary headed to Limerick this evening in the first round of the Munster u-21 Championship, with the home side fancied by many as they were littered with senior talent.
Barry Nash, Kyle Hayes, Tom Morrissey, Ronan Lynch and Cian Lynch were among the senior stars within the Treaty ranks, and they had too much for the Premier, winning on a scoreline of 2-24 to 0-19.
There was universal praise for the slick Limerick outfit.
Limerick are picking off scores at ease..their forward pack are a different gravy to Tipp altogether #BGEU21

Imagine being able to afford to have Ronan Lynch at wing back #GAABeo@BGEGAA #LimerickvTipp

Limerick just strolling through this. Can tell they could easily go up a few gears if they needed to. #bgeu21

Limerick’s class and substitutes making the difference here as they pull away. #BGEU21

That Limerick team will go all the way if they keep their heads. #GAA

Seriously impressive performance from Limerick. That forward line will take some stopping

Although the Treaty were impressive, there was huge disappointment with Tipp.
Comfortable win for limerick under 21s but a Very poor showing by Tipperary. @BGEGAA #GAABEO

Tipp in a very deep hole at half time, trailing by ten. Playing second fiddle but own mistakes being punished by a good Limerick side

In Tipp’s defence the youngest outfit we’ve fielded in a long long time but look in 2nd gear, picking scores off at ease, good punt

To be a fly on the wall of the Tipp dressing room at half-time, riot act needs to be read by Maher. Poor display so far. #bgeu21

Tipp work rate has to improve, sloppy work defensively leads to a sideline cut which leads to Ronan Lynch score. #bgeu21

Limerick now march on to the semi-final where they will meet Clare.
