The Times And Venue For The All-Ireland Hurling Quarter-Finals Have Been Announced

There was no need for a draw to determine the pairings of the All-Ireland Hurling Championship quarter-finals, as Waterford will face Wexford and Clare will face Galway.

The GAA have announced today that there will be a double-header for the two quarter-finals in Semple Stadium in Thurles.

Clare beat Laois and Limerick in the qualifiers to bounce back from a Munster defeat to Waterford, while Galway will be looking to plot a way back to September after being beaten by Kilkenny in the Leinster final. This is the big one in many people’s eyes, as the League champions face last year’s All-Ireland runners-up.

In the curtain raiser, Waterford will be reeling after being hammered by Tipperary yesterday in the Munster final, and face a resurgent Wexford team. The Yellowbellies beat Cork in Thurles, and were full value for their shock victory.
