Things got heated between Sean Cavanagh and Marc Ó Sé today…
Moy Tír na nÓg are through to the All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship final, after seeing off An Ghaeltacht in Thurles today. The two clubs boasted some of the biggest names in the game, with the Cavanaghs of Tyrone facing off against Marc Ó Sé and Co.
The game itself was a drab affair, as it took 17 minutes for the first score to be registered. With the teams locked at 0-02 apiece after the first half, it was Moy who pushed on in the second period, bagging the shock win on a scoreline of 1-05 to 0-06.
It was certainly a tense affair, and a crucial moment came in the second half when An Ghaeltacht were reduced to 14 men, when Éanna Ó Chonchúir was shown a red card for an off-the-ball incident.
Former Tyrone captain Sean Cavanagh wasn’t best pleased with the occurrence and was appealing to the officials. Marc Ó Sé took exception to Cavanagh, and a scuffle ensued between the pair.
