Cork are All-Ireland Senior Camogie champions following a nail-biting victory over Kilkenny in Croke Park yesterday.
The Rebellettes exacted revenge for their loss at the same stage last year, and the celebrations will be lasting all winter on Lee-side.
Rena Buckley became the first player to captain the same county to a success in both codes, as she scooped a remarkable 18th title.
In what was the climax to an absorbing season, the two sides played off on Jones’ Road, with the final being broadcast live on RTÉ.
The viewing figures speak for themselves.
An average of 276,800 tuned into the game, as two giants of camogie battled it out.

This comes as a significant increase on last year, and credit must go to RTÉ for increased media coverage of the competition, as they broadcast the semi-finals, and continuously gave air-time to previous rounds on The Sunday Game highlight show.
