Former Kerry star Paul Galvin togged out this morning for his new Dublin club, St Oliver Plunkett’s/Eoghan Ruadh.
The 37 year-old picked up four All-Ireland titles throughout a glittered career with the Kingdom, and he will now represent a major addition to the Dublin giants.
One of the club’s most famous sons was quick to both welcome and warn Galvin today, as the Kerryman wore Bernard Brogan’s famous jersey.
Welcome to the parish @pgal10 don’t get to used to that number though ? pic.twitter.com/qpOC59SioU

The banter was quick to follow.

However, as always, not everybody was happy with the transfer, with some pointing out that Galvin’s arrival means that a clubman may be losing out on a place in the team.
@bernardbrogan @pgal10 what about the lad who grow up on the navan road who is a benchwarmer now..why not play football with KC #OneClub

However, transfers have long been a staple of the club game, and with long distances in question, it is a no-brainer.
