Fans travelling to the new Páirc Uí Chaoimh this weekend for the All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals between Tipperary and Clare on Saturday and the clash of Waterford and Wexford on Sunday have been urged to take extra precaution with their parking and plan their trip ahead.
The state of the art facility was officially unveiled on Wednesday night for the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship meeting of Valley Rovers and Blarney. Over 10,000 spectators turned out to take in the new home of Cork GAA and they certainly were not disappointed. The reaction to the newly renovated world class stadium has been overwhelmingly positive on Leeside.
However, we are yet to see how the venue will cope with the full to capacity crowd of 45,000 which is expected for the big games on both Saturday and Sunday.
Gardaí have laid out the precautions the supporters of Tipp, Clare, Waterford and Wexford must take ahead of their travels to Cork, issuing essential guidelines to be followed on parking and making their way to the stadium for the game.
