Munster Name Impressive Interprovincial Hurling Squad

Anthony Nash Cork

The Munster championship is renowned as the most competitive tournament in hurling. Any of the five teams who take part are in with a genuine chance of winning each year. The beauty is, there is rarely a one-sided game.

A testament to this is that since 2010, each county has won a Munster title except for Clare, who captured Liam McCarthy in 2013.

The creme de la creme of the province has been selected by manager Anthony Daly for their interprovincial clash with Leinster this Saturday in Galway. Tommy Dunne and John Mullane are selectors on the star-studded management team.

Tipperary and Limerick lead the way with seven players apiece. Clare have six included, while Cork have four. Waterford and Kerry have one each.

The winners of Leinster against Munster play Ulster or Connacht in the decider on Sunday.

What a squad this is, as announced on the Munster GAA website..
