Scotstown won yesterday’s Monaghan Senior Football Championship final with a 2-13 to 1-12 victory over Clontibret. The decider was being covered by TG4, and as part of the build-up, the pundits were pitch-side previewing the game.
However, the curtain-raiser for the day featured the minor final between Corduff and Aughnamullen. The victorious Corduff side had little regard for the senior game, nor for the production of the TG4 coverage.
Fresh from capturing a title that they had put their entire year into, the Corduff Gaels minor side were soaking in the celebrations, running towards the TG4 panel with the cup. They didn’t stop there, and bombarded the panel with their celebrations.
What ensued was mayhem, and the pundits did well to stay on their feet.
We must also share some love for the dab at the very end.
