Galway reached the All-Ireland hurling final on Sunday with a dramatic 0-22 to 1-18 win over Tipperary.
For the Tribesmen, it is their second final in three years as they look to end a near three-decade famine, waiting for Liam MacCarthy to come back west of the Shannon.
They overcame the Premier in the most dramatic way possible – with Joe Canning hitting an amazing point after 74 minutes. The action wasn’t done there however, as Tipp had one last chance to force a replay – but it went narrowly wide.
Nowhere was this drama felt more than in the commentary box for Galway Bay FM. Commentator Sean Walsh was possibly the most nervous man in Croke Park in the closing stages as the Connacht men edged out the narrow win.
If Galway continue to show the form they have so far in 2017, it will take some effort from either Cork or Waterford to beat them.
For those people who are unlucky enough not to be in front of a television on the first Sunday of September, you could do worse than tune into Galway Bay FM and to Sean Walsh and Conor Hayes.
