Late Aaron Devlin Honoured At BBC Sports Awards

Last July, 23 year-old Aaron Devlin tragically passed away after contracting Meningitis. He is remembered fondly by all within the GAA community and elsewhere, and he left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Last night, the BBC Sports Awards took place, with Northern Ireland soccer manager Michael O’Neill and tennis player Andy Murray taking the top honours.

During the obituary section, the BBC took a moment to remember the late Derry man, and it was a touching tribute, especially for his friends, family, and those who knew him from Derry and his club Ballinderry.

A great touch by the BBC. RIP Aaron Devlin. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
