Kieran Donaghy will go down as one of Kerry’s greatest players in the modern era. The 6ft 5in giant burst onto the scene in 2006, driving the Kingdom to the All-Ireland title.
‘The Star’ was able to bring across his skills from basketball to trouble defences across the country, and won three All-Star awards and four All-Ireland titles to date in a remarkable career.
It has been announced that he will be releasing an autobiography this October, entitled ‘What Do You Think Of That?‘
This of course is in reference to his response to Joe Brolly’s claims that Kerry were going through a transitional period in 2014. The Kingdom went on to beat Donegal in the All-Ireland final, and Donaghy was quick to call out the controversial pundit.
Of course, before then Donaghy will be hoping to help the Kingdom to yet another All-Ireland title. They will face Dublin in the semi-final, which will be a serious task considering the Boys in Blue have beaten Kerry in the last two national finals.
‘What Do You Think Of That?‘ promises to be a fascinating read, offering an insight into the mind of one of the more remarkable players to have graced a gaelic football field in recent years.
