Looking good in sport is sometimes half the battle and the “The Championship haircut” has become a vital part of many GAA players’ pre-match rituals ahead of a major game.
That Friday trip to the barbers before a huge game at the weekend can offer a moment of reflection to take your mind off the upcoming challenge, while a fresh cut can give you that extra bit of confidence needed to shine in the big moments.
Electric Ireland know the importance of the pre-match trim, that’s why they are bringing back the “Championship Haircut” for the second year in a row as they have collaborated with a team of expert barbers to offer haircuts or styles to fans in Croke Park before the Leinster Minor Hurling Final.
You can back your Minor team this weekend by taking part in the pre-game ritual at the Cusack Stand side of Croke Park with hair cutting and styling services available between 10:45 – 13:45.
Guys can choose from a selection of styles from ‘The Minor Fade’ to ‘The Crossbar Shave’ with the option for girls to represent their county with pride, sporting their colours with an updo or braid, styled with a ribbon in their county colours.
On top of a fresh cut, fans can also enjoy three fantastic games of hurling on Sunday as Kilkenny and Wexford clash in two mouthwatering affairs, first up it’s the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor Football Final between the two rivals at 11:30 am before the pair clash in the senior equivalent at 4 pm, while Laois and Westmeath meet in the Joe McDonagh Cup Final at 1:45 pm.
