All-Ireland hurling champions Galway today released their new away kit and it most certainly is a brave choice.
The Tribesmen are famed for the traditional maroon and white colours donned by their players on the field.
With these unique colours it’s not often the GAA players of Galway require a change strip, bar perhaps a clash with either Westmeath or Wexford.
In the odd case of the need for an away strip, we’ve seen Galway opt for the safe choice of a swapping of maroon with white.
This year however, the designer of the Galway kit has decided that the All-Ireland champions should try something riskier.

In this case it would appear that the decision to use the ‘camo’ design has worked wonders for Galway.
We’ve already seen the Kerry footballers displaying a bold gold jersey, now the Galway players look set to outdo them.
In the past we’ve not seen many alternative designs for GAA away kits, it does now seem however that we could be set to see a number of crazier designs.
Galway seem to have hit the nail on the head here, it will be interesting to see if there are any more intriguing designs in the coming months as teams are forced to use away jerseys.
