The Allianz National Leagues are back with a bang, as action took place around the country today. It was a disappointing evening for the Dublin hurlers at Croke Park, as they suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Offaly. Meanwhile, Jim Gavin’s football outfit had enough to see off Kildare in Croke Park, despite trailing at half-time.
Meanwhile, Cork entered the fray in both codes at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, as their footballers were trumped by Tipperary, but their hurlers recorded a memorable win over Kilkenny in their first appearance at the stadium since it was redeveloped.
Clare were unable to see off Cavan at home in a tight affair in what is already shaping up as an incredibly tight Division 2, as the sides drew 1-12 to 2-09.
