Twitter Reacts As Dublin Beat Kerry In National Football League Final

Provincial Championships Dublin

Dublin captured a fourth consecutive National Football League title this afternoon with a deserved win over Kerry at Croke Park. The Dubs were too strong for the Kingdom, seeing off Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s side on a scoreline of 2-18 to 0-13.

The Dubs went in ahead at the break, looking comfortable in the early exchanges.

However, the major talking point came early in the second half, as Aidan O’Mahony was dismissed for an off the ball incident.

Although Kerry hung in following O’Mahony’s dismissal, Dublin’s class told and Paul Flynn scored a goal after 65 minutes to put the game to bed.

While it didn’t transpire, it looked for several moments in the game that the Dubs were moving towards an historic scoreline.
